FROM RANCH TO DISTILLERY — THE STORY OF FINCA 18

The Camino Real

 Over 150 years ago, the Sanchez family established roots in what is now Puerto Vallarta, building a life grounded in hard work and resilience. That same spirit carried through generations, eventually shaping the land known today as Finca 18. Located along the historic Camino Real, the property is steeped in both history and legend—once part of the route used to transport silver from the mountains to the coast, and is said to hold untold stories buried beneath its soil. 

Dr. Heriberto Sanchez

 In 1995, Dr. Heriberto Sanchez, a local doctor who rose from humble beginnings, acquired the ranch and transformed it into a gathering place for the community. His deep connection to the land left a lasting legacy. After his passing in 2021, the family reimagined the property. In 2022, the ranch was reborn as Finca 18, a distillery dedicated to producing authentic, small-batch agave spirits.

    Expressions

    Crafted to showcase the depth and versatility of agave

    Blanco — 40% ABV

     Clean and expressive spirit that highlights pure cooked agave with earthy aromas and a smooth, balanced palate. Subtle minerality and light pepper add complexity, showcasing a thoughtful, traditionally made spirit. 

    Still Strength — 53% ABV

    Roasted agave and bright citrus oils. The palate is bold yet balanced, showing concentrated agave sweetness, white pepper, mineral depth, and fresh herbs, finishing long, dry, and precise with lingering spice. 

    Rosa — 40% ABV

     Cooked agave layered with subtle red fruit and floral notes . Light oak frames the palate, preserving clarity and balance. Dry, elegant, and finely tuned.   


    Reposado — 40% ABV

    Cooked agave layered with soft vanilla, light caramel, and subtle baking spice. Oak adds warmth and roundness without overshadowing purity. Balanced, textured, and long on the finish. 

    Añejo — 40% ABV

    Roasted agave layered with vanilla bean, cacao nib, and light tobacco. Oak adds warmth and texture while preserving clarity. Rich yet balanced, it finishes dry with lingering spice. 

    Pechuga — 43% ABV

    Cooked agave opens into rich umami and subtle brine. Notes of roasted nuts, cacao, dried chile, and caramelized fruit build layered complexity without weight. Deep, structured, and persistent on the finish.
